Experience a different side of Israel with the IN SEARCH OF ISRAELI CUISINE TOUR January 12 – 20, 2017 in Israel. It’s an opportunity to visit the restaurants, street food vendors, markets, wineries, cheese makers, and farms highlighted in the film. A special meeting with the directors of Israel’s top film festivals for a behind-the-scenes look at Israel’s film industry is also in the planning stages.
Highlights of the tour include:
dinner at MachneYuda, one of the Jerusalem’s best and most popular restaurants,
a tasting tour at the famed Mahane Yehuda market,
Shabbat dinner in the home of a Jerusalemite,
a visit to Shai Zeltzer’s Goat and Cheese Farm and an opportunity to meet this unique cheesemaker,
a “pub crawl” to introduce you to Jerusalem’s night life and a chance to sample some local brews,
an Eastern European tasting tour,
lunch at a Palestinian restaurant and a chance to roam the streets of the old town of Akko,
dinner at the highly rated fish restaurant Uri Buri,
Abu Senan cooking workshop in the Galilee,
a visit to a Druze village to taste freshly pressed olive oil and sample Druze cuisine,
a tour to see how Israel has made the desert bloom,
a walk through Jaffa’s old city and port with its Mediterranean views and a myriad of cafes and restaurants,
